Bird Feeder Template – (Digital Download)

Designed to be laser cut from 1/8″ material, this bird feeder template includes multiple file formats. The PDF version includes the graphics shown embedded into the file. (Roof shingles, Brick, wood planks.) The Adobe Illustrator (AI) and SVG versions only include the cut lines. Originally designed to be cut on a Glowforge laser cutter, these vector files can be used on other laser cutters.

**** Please note that engraving the graphics included in the PDF version of the file will significantly increase the time required to make this piece. The example pictured above was cut and engraved on 1/8″ Baltic Birch. You do not have to engrave to graphics, or you can customize with you favorite vector editing program like Illustrator, Inkscape, or Affinity Designer.

There are 2 different Roof files included. The first has the tabbed facia slots, as pictured above. The second eliminates the need to print facia, and is a simpler single layer design. Both versions require the use of glue to hold it together at the tabs.

Recommended Plywood: 1/8″ Plywood
Color Legend:
Green – Cut
Pink – Score
Brown – Cut
Graphic layer – engrave

If you use Inkscape or CorelDraw, import from PDF and verify the dimensions before you cut, as there has been a report of inkscape and Corel draw resizing and scaling this down.

This template is should be used as a baseline, and will need to be adjusted for kerf and fit depending on your material. You can alter this design to meet the needs of your material, but cannot resell this design as a digital file. This listing does NOT include any physical items. This is a template to be edited in design software like Abobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, or Inkscape.
